Bulang Treasure: Early Spring 2024 Ancient-Tree Red Tea
Bulang Treasure: Early Spring 2024 Ancient-Tree Red Tea
A decadent brew that requires true attention to appreciate. From Yi-Luo, the same producer as the other Bulang Reds, this tea picked in Early Spring (the prime time pick) is a testament to the power of ancient trees processed in indigenous lineage.
The name is a nod to the indigenous Bulang people, one of 25 government-recognized minority groups in Yunnan Provence. The Bulang are known as one of the oldest tea-producing peoples in the world. This tea is from the ancient tea forests of Jingmai Mountain, in southwestern Xishuangbanna.
Limited quantity available.
Note: "Red Tea" here is essentially what is known in the West as "Black Tea," distinguished by a high oxidation level of the leaves. There are many variations of this style in China, and this Jingmai style is region-specific.
